Led by Kate’ Eckstein-Schoemann, we have been running Breaking Barriers since 2011. We received our 501(c)(3) status in 2012. We have been working with some great kids with different types of disabilities. What we’ve found is what we expected: Each of them has wonderful abilities and each of them has a great story. Now, we are expanding. Anyone with any type of disability is welcome to apply. Parents are welcome to work with their children in our classes and can advance with their children.
Currently, we have 4 classes a week:
Tuesday: 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM – Open to all students
Saturday: 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM – Open to students preparing for black belt
Saturday: 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM – Open to students 11 years of age and older
Saturday: 9:45 AM to 10:30 AM – Open to students up to 11 years of age
If you are interested in you or your child becoming a student, please contact Senior Instructor Peter Schoemann at paschoemann@gmail.com or at (407) 947-3656. Each candidate will be interviewed to ensure proper fit.
Thank you to all of our donors for helping us make a huge difference in the lives of some great people.
